On Monday, October 9th, 2017, Bayside Park hosted a resident art show, rich in its diversity of subject matter and technique, creating a beautiful ambience for an auction to raise funds for the annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. Eight residents contributed art they had created, either currently or from their past, transforming our lobby into an art gallery. Our Dining Services Director produced a beautiful and luscious display of hors d’oevres accompanied by glasses of champagne. Residents and family members bought raffle tickets to support Alzheimer’s research, and if their ticket was called they won baskets filled with wine and cheese, boxes of See’s Candy or a Foot Massage Bath that bubbled and refreshed your tired feet! These baskets were generously donated by our home health service organizations of Vitas, HomeCare Assistance, Pathways and Gentiva. It was truly a lovely event filled with culture, delicious food, great prizes and best of all, we raised funds for a most worthy cause, the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk.
