Outing to the Lawrence Hall of Science in the Berkeley Hills

On a spectacularly clear day, the bird’s eye view of the Bay Area from the Lawrence Hall of Science completely captivated and delighted the residents of Bayside Park. Situated high in the Berkeley hills, this panoramic view was an added bonus to an afternoon exploring the many inter-active science exhibits that are on display. We tested our eye/hand coordination with an air-launch paper airplane device, trying to see who could get the plane to fly through a series of hoops; as well as gaining knowledge of planetary weather patterns on a globe seemingly floating in air above our heads; to a new visual exhibit on stem-cell research. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with fun science projects for all.
