The award-winning documentary, Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory, beautifully illustrates how music can tap into memories. We look forward to introducing this personalized musical program as another way to support our residents to thrive.

Join us at Bayside Park every 3rd Wednesday of the month to meet with the Family Caregiver Alliance Support Group. Be part of a group of people from all different backgrounds who all share something in common, caring for the needs of another person.

Learn ways to cope with the difficulties and pressures of providing care for another. Discuss positive and difficult aspects of being a supportive force in the life of someone else. Develop relationships with others in similar situations, you are not alone.

This program is funded in part by the Alameda County Department of Aging and Adult Services and Bayside Park. Izumi and her Friends are returning to Bayside Park and we could not be more excited! This talented ensemble of musicians are always ready to bring down the house! Lead singer, Izumi Lawrence sings her way through American Jazz and popular Standards from the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s. Be prepared to get up and DANCE!
